We love having this Gluten Free Apple Peach Crumble Dessert for the holidays in place of or in addition to a Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie. It’s unexpected and delicious and the perfect excuse to add ice cream to a decadent gluten free dessert lineup.

If you want to make quick work of the apples, consider investing in an apple peeler and corer. They are a must if you’re working with apples a lot. Even without that handy piece of equipment, the entire recipes comes together in about 10 to 20 minutes, giving the oven just enough time to preheat.

What Is The Difference Between a Cobbler, Crumble and Crisp?

All three of these desserts have a delicious fruit filling, with the difference primarily in the topping.

Cobblers. A cobbler has a biscuit or scone like topping.

Crumbles. A crumble is historically a combination of sugar, butter and flour that gets “crumbled” over the top of the fruit filling.

Crisps. A crisp will usually have oats added to the topping and it gets sprinkled over the filling.

All of these gluten free dessert options are amazing and you’ll note that this recipe is for Gluten Free Apple Peach Crumble without oats.

Gluten Free Tips and Variations

Drizzle caramel sauce over top just before serving to amp up the indulgence.

Chopped nuts make a great topping.

Add in some craisins or raisins for additional flavours.

Stir in half a teaspoon of vanilla extract in with the apple & peach filling for a beautiful and sensational flavour. Don’t want to use peaches? Add additional apples and remove the peaches, and visa versa! Customize this gluten free dessert recipe with any fruits you love.

Serve with a dollop of homemade gluten free whipped cream and a dash of apple pie spice or cinnamon.

I’m not much of a cook and this turned out great. I used fresh peaches that were going bad, didn’t peel them, uneven slices and chunks, old butter and terrible job cutting it into the flour mixture. And it still turned out really tasty.

Another gluten free hit. I only had 2 & apples peaches, but they were large so I made a half recipe. It fit perfectly into a glass food storage container so I used that. Recipes is quick to come together. No fuss. Delicious.
I surprised my mom with this treat and she loved it. My sister thought I had been slaving away in the kitchen all morning. And I did not peel the peaches -yay. Thank you, Camilla

My friend in Georgia sent me a dozen peaches, so obviously, I had to make this. I made your apple peach crumble for my mom’s birthday when she was injured and bedridden, and boy did it perk her up. So I figured this had to be just as good and it is!!!!! I still prefer the apple because I like apples better than peaches. But there are absolutely no better crisp recipes than yours!!! Full stop!

I loved this recipe! I used some frozen peaches I had and mixed in some raspberries just because. The only disappointment was of my own making – There was a LOT of juice with the peaches which turned out to be too much, so the topping didn’t crisp up as it should have. So next time I’ll be more careful, and there will be a next time because despite my mistake, it was delicious! Served with vanilla ice cream, and got yums from my guys!
