What is Miracle Noodle made of?
Miracle Noodles and Miracle Rice are Shirataki noodles, and have been enjoyed in Japan for over 1,400 years.
Made from the Konjac plant, Miracle Noodle and Miracle Rice are 97% water and 3% soluble fiber – called glucomannan — (plus a natural calcium additive to help the noodles keep their shape). That’s it!
Together, the water and the fiber help you feel full — fast — even though the noodles have, at most, only a handful of calories per serving (many of their noodle and rice products are calorie-free!).
If you eat Miracle Noodles or Miracle Rice for lunch and/or dinner once a day instead of regular high- calorie pasta and rice dishes, you’ll slash, on the conservative side, at least 2800 calories per week! How’s that possible? An average person eats about 400 calories worth of high-carb pasta or rice at one sitting (x7 = 2800). That’s 11,200 calories per month!
You can see how easy it is to lose weight just by eating something delicious once a day. Now imagine how much easier your weight loss will be eating Miracle Noodles and Miracle Rice for both lunch and dinner!
P.S. They’re also low carb!
It doesn’t get much easier than this to prepare low-carb gluten free noodles:
Step One: Cut bag of Miracle Noodles open with scissors and drain in colander/strainer for one minute in cool water.
Step Two: Lightly boil noodles for 2-3 minutes. But no more than 3 minutes!
Step Three: Drain noodles and dry roast them using no oil or spray in pan for 1 minute.
Step Four: After 1 minute, you should hear a squeaking noise. Don’t worry! The noodles aren’t being harmed. In fact, this means they are ready.
Step Five: Add a low-sugar sauce or stock to the finished noodles. Also add steamed, sauteed or lightly grilled veggies. Stir. Healthy noodle stir fry ready!
As you may know, there’s a simple rule for nutrition – if the ingredients of a product have to be listed in a lengthy paragraph and there are several words in there that you can’t even properly pronounce, it’s probably not good for you.
The opposite is also true. If the ingredients are only one simple line with ingredients that are easy to pronounce (and don’t sound like crazy chemicals) then it’s probably good for you (obviously I trust that you always use your own judgment in cases where it’s not clear).
The Miracle Noodles and Miracle Rice are a prime example of this.
There are only three simple ingredients – water, Konjac flour and calcium additive (old-fashioned pickling lime). Konjac flour is a fiber that comes from the Konjac plant. The Konjac flour helps to improve digestion and is good for your intestines. The fiber also makes you feel fuller longer.
Miracle Noodle pastas and Miracle rice are sodium-free too except for the Black pasta which has only 5 mg.
Shirataki noodles also contain natural prebiotics – a key ingredient (especially in today’s environment) when it comes to gut health and inner balance.
