Description

Gluten Free Muesli is inspired by the traditional Swiss cereal developed by Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner. Like traditional Bircher muesli, this lovely blend of gluten free oats, nuts and seeds, and dried fruit can be enjoyed for breakfast in many ways: hot with brown sugar like porridge; cold with milk; or soaked overnight with yogurt and shredded apple.

Bob’s Red Mill gluten free muesli recipe is based on a breakfast cereal originally invented by Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner, a Swiss nutritionist, over 100 years ago. He understood that food is the best medicine, but he also knew that it wouldn’t be eaten if it wasn’t delicious. That’s why their fantastic muesli recipe is a tasty blend of lightly toasted whole grains, brown rice crisps, raisins, dried apples and cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds and coconut flakes.

Consider this cereal a jumping-off point: pour coconut milk over these muesli flakes for a non-dairy breakfast, or add goji berries for extra antioxidants. You can also add peanut butter for extra protein, or top it with a mixture of maple syrup, honey or coconut oil. However, muesli isn’t just for breakfast: you can eat these grains out of the bag as a snack or bake it up in cookies and quick breads.

For optimum freshness, store in an airtight container.
