These juicy, handcrafted gluten free hamburger patties combine ground beef and pork with savoury seasonings for a superior texture. Naturally flavourful and easy to prepare, they are designed to stay moist on the grill and fit perfectly on your favourite gluten free bun.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • ½ lb Ground Pork
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup bread crumbs fine - gluten free
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup/barbeque sauce optional

Instructions

  1. Whisk egg and spices together in a large mixing bowl
    1 egg, 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, 1 tsp Sea salt, 1/2 tsp Black pepper, 1 tbsp Ketchup/barbeque sauce
  2. Place all remaining ingredients into large mixing bowl.
    1 lb Ground Beef, 1/2 lb Ground Pork, 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  3. Work through using your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  4. Shape into 1/2 in (1 cm) thick patties, about 1/4 pound each.
  5. Make a thumb print in the center of each to keep the hamburgers from bulging when cooking.
  6. Preheat a grill or pan to medium-high heat.
  7. Add the hamburgers and cook 4-5 minutes, until browned on the bottom and juices visible are no longer red.
  8. Do not push down on the burgers or move them around.
  9. Flip over and cook 2-3 minutes for medium, or until done as desired.
  10. Remove burgers from heat.
  11. Let the hamburgers rest for a few minutes before serving.
