Use a wide-mouth Mason jar or airtight glass container.
Add 1/2 cup of certified gluten free rolled oats, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of fine sea salt directly into your container.
1/2 cup certified gluten free rolled oats, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, Pinch sea salt
Whisk lightly with a fork to distribute the seeds evenly.
2.Add the Liquids & Sweetener:
Ensure the chia seeds don't stick to the bottom.
Pour in 1/2 cup of your favourite milk, 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based), 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt, 1 tbsp pure Canadian maple syrup, 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
Stir thoroughly with a spoon, scraping the bottom edges of the jar to make sure no dry oats or chia seeds remain stuck in the corners.
3.Chill & Hydrate:
Minimum 4 hours, ideally overnight.
Seal the jar tightly with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight (8 to 12 hours) for maximum creaminess.
4.Garnish & Serve:
Customize your toppings right before eating. In the morning, give the oats a quick stir. If the mixture feels too thick, splash in an extra tablespoon of milk.
1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
Top with your favourite mix-ins, such as sliced bananas, fresh blueberries, toasted almonds, or a drizzle of almond butter, and enjoy cold!
